An Osogbo based entrepreneur and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ayodeji Olaiya (Ayonic) yesterday 3rd of March 2025, distributed food packs to residents within the Osogbo metropolis.
According to Olaiya, the gesture is to support Muslim faithful during the holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan is the ninth and considered the holiest month in Islamic calendar and mandates Muslims to refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, and having sex from sunrise to sunset.
The distribution, which took place during a Ramadan lecture he personally sponsored, also saw beneficiaries receiving free JAMB UTME forms.
In his sermon, Sheikh Ridwanullahi Arikeudunnu extolled the virtues of Hon. Ayodeji Olaiya, stressing the importance of giving during this holy month.
In his remarks, Hon Olaiya thanked Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness another Ramadan, he said “I am full of gratitude to God for this opportunity, the best way to show gratitude to God is by extending love to other people during the period.”
One of the beneficiaries, Muideen Ayomide, was full of praise for the sponsor, praying to God to continually uplift and prosper him.
