The Executive Chairman of Atakunmosa East Local Government, Hon. Alade Ibironke, popularly known as Dangote, has commended the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State for unanimously endorsing Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists, Ibironke described the endorsement as a well-deserved affirmation of confidence in Governor Adeleke’s administration and its developmental strides across the state.
He praised the Osun State PDP Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, for what he termed steadfast and visionary leadership, noting that the unity currently being enjoyed within the party is a product of deliberate efforts to promote inclusiveness and internal harmony.
The council chairman also acknowledged the role of Senator Lere Oyewumi in strengthening party cohesion and mobilizing support at the grassroots, adding that the collaboration among party leaders has further positioned the PDP for victory in the forthcoming election.
According to Ibironke, the unanimous endorsement reflects the satisfaction of party stakeholders with the governor’s achievements in infrastructure development, social welfare initiatives, and policies aimed at improving the living standards of the people.
“With the governorship election slated for August 15, 2026, our party has once again demonstrated unity of purpose and readiness to consolidate on the gains recorded under Governor Adeleke’s leadership,” the statement read.
He urged party members and supporters across wards and local governments to sustain the tempo of mobilization and remain united as preparations intensify ahead of the poll.
Hon. Ibironke reaffirmed his loyalty to the Adeleke’s Government and pledged the full support of Atakunmosa East Local Government towards ensuring a resounding victory for Governor Adeleke in the 2026 gubernatorial election.
