A former member of the House of Representatives and Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters (House of Reps), Hon. Ibraheem Kunle Olarewaju, has lauded Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his 57th birthday, describing him as a calm, consultative, and people-oriented leader whose governance approach has contributed to political stability and socio-economic development in the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Olarewaju said, “Governor Oyebanji’s leadership is marked by humility, inclusiveness, and a strong commitment to the welfare of all citizens.
He has demonstrated that effective governance is not just about policies, but about touching the lives of the people positively.”
He noted that the governor’s administration has prioritized continuity, institutional strengthening, and collaborative governance, which he said have “helped sustain peace, enhanced public trust, and promoted steady development across Ekiti State.”
Olarewaju highlighted Oyebanji’s dedication to the welfare of workers, youths, women, and other vulnerable groups, adding that the governor’s people-centered policies “have created an environment where every Ekiti citizen feels valued and included.”
He emphasized that such policies reflect a leadership style that balances vision with practical action on the ground.
The former federal lawmaker also praised the administration’s focus on key sectors, including education, infrastructure, healthcare, and human capital development.
According to him, these initiatives are “critical drivers of sustainable growth, economic empowerment, and social transformation in the state,” reinforcing Ekiti’s position as a model of effective governance in the Southwest.
Olarewaju further commended Governor Oyebanji for maintaining productive collaboration with Ekiti State’s representatives at the National Assembly.
“Constructive engagement between state governments and federal lawmakers is essential for delivering meaningful development, and Governor Oyebanji has consistently set the standard in this regard,” he said.
He prayed for the governor’s continued good health, wisdom, and renewed strength, urging him to steer the affairs of the state with diligence, prudence, and integrity, while maintaining the people-centered focus that has defined his leadership.
