The Ekiti State Peace Corps has joined other well-meaning Nigerians in celebrating the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a symbol of purposeful, calm, and people-oriented leadership.
In a birthday tribute issued on Sunday, the State Commandant of the Ekiti State Peace Corps, Hon. Dele Owoju, said Governor Oyebanji’s life and leadership reflect integrity, competence, and a deep commitment to public service.
According to the statement, Governor Oyebanji’s emergence as governor is the result of years of diligent service, preparation, and loyalty to the ideals of good governance.
The Peace Corps boss noted that his leadership style, anchored on consultation, inclusiveness, and institutional continuity, has continued to earn him respect across political and social divides.
Hon. Owoju stated that since assuming office, Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated uncommon humility and maturity in governance, choosing to consolidate on existing gains while introducing thoughtful reforms aimed at improving the lives of Ekiti people.
“His administration has continued to record progress in key areas such as education, healthcare, economic stability, civil service harmony, security, and social cohesion.
Governor Oyebanji has shown that leadership does not have to be loud to be effective,” the statement read.
The Peace Corps boss further commended the governor for maintaining peace and stability in the state, describing him as a bridge-builder who listens attentively to the people and governs with wisdom and fairness.
“As a leader, Governor Oyebanji exemplifies the true Ekiti spirit principled, disciplined, and resilient.
His calm disposition and respect for institutions have strengthened public confidence in governance and contributed to the relative peace enjoyed in the state,” Hon. Owoju added.
The Ekiti State Peace Corps prayed for good health, renewed strength, and divine wisdom for the governor as he marks another year, expressing confidence that Ekiti State will continue to experience steady growth and development under his leadership.
