A 27 years old Oluwadare Oyinkansola Oluwatimilehin has called for assistance over threat to life, risk of imprisonment, ill treatment, punishment and discrimination for reason of sexual orientation among others.
Oyinkansola Oluwatimilehin who is a Christian and Yoruba by tribe was born in Akure, Akure south Local Government Area of Ondo State of Nigeria, disclosed that he is sexual attracted to men, but due to the societal pressure in Nigeria, was forced to also engage in relationships with the female sex.
Oyinkansola hinted that the case was reported to police in Akure, and no arrest was made before she relocated to a friend house ABAYOMI TORIMIRO in Mapo area Ibadan, Oyo State. who was one of his class mates in High school days, said he was also Tracked to the location, and was also beaten, before thr case was also reported at Mapo Police station on that faithful Day 15/07/2023.
“I had developed an attraction for men as early as 2008 in my teen years in Boarding School at St. Peter’s unity secondary school Akure, where, all boys are meant to live together and sleep in a common hostel, and take their baths together in a common open bath room.
During this period, I found out that I always had an erection whenever I saw the nudity of other boys – especially the hairy ones. I always had the urge to reach out and touch them but I had to control my feelings because it was not an acceptable behavior in our country and school Oyinkansola said “.
“Eventually, I became romantically involved with a friend called Omotoyinbo Pelumi peter in 2010.I was just 14 years old, I was in the fourth year in my High school St. Peter’s unity secondary school Akure, He was in fact my first same sex partner and we where both in the same class.
We normally play football together during school break and our class room sit is directly opposite each other. Pelumi school uniform always reveals the size of his manhood and this was the point of attraction to him from me. We get into discussion and we started to meet for curdling kissing and sometimes sex.
Recall in 2014, the president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, signed into law the Sex Marriage Prohibition Act 2014” which provides jail terms of 10 years for homosexuals and also punishes who register, operate or participate in same sex clubs, societies and organizations, or directly makes a public show of same sex relationships in Nigeria.
The Nigeria Criminal Code, Chapter 42, Section 214 states that any person who has carnal knowledge of another person against the order of nature, or permits a male person to have carnal knowledge of him or her against the order of nature, is guilty of a felony and liable to fourteen (14) years imprisonment.
