The APC gubernatorial candidate for Niger State, Hon Mohammed Umar Bago has donated the sum of two million Naira and a Sharon bus to the vigilante group of the Gulu and Azza communities of the Lapai local government area to combat banditry.
Bago made the donation on Sunday, the 18th of December when he paid a visit to the people of Gulu and Vatsa in the Lapai local government area of the state to commiserate with them over the recent banditry attack on the communities.
The incoming Governor told the people of the communities to be vigilant and report any strange movement of people to the security agencies and to pray for peace as he donated 200 bags of rice, 200 bags of maize, and cash donations of two million Naira to the victims of the attack.
The people of Gulu and Vatsa while appreciating the kind gesture from the donor, pledged to reciprocate by unanimously voting for APC come 2023 general elections. They however pleaded with Bago to rehabilitate and reconstruct at least the major roads and bridges to leading to their communities and as well rehabilitate the schools when elected as the next governor of the state.
May Hon Mohammed Bago and Comr Yakubu Garba continue to succeed, Amin.
