NYSC board seeks additional security at orientation camps

The national governing board of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) has requested for additional security to secure Corp members at the orientation camps scattered across the country.

The request came following widespread insecurity across all geopolitical zones of the country.

Making the request, Chairman of the board Ambassador Fatima Abubakar noted that the NYSC was concerned about the security of Corp members, therefore seeking the approval of army headquarters for more personnel to be deployed to guarantee security at the camps.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Faruk Yahaya noted that the NYSC scheme is a baby of the army, therefore would be supported with maximum security at orientation camps.
