Nigerian Singer, Tems, To Feature In US Rapper’s 9th Album


A new album by U.S Rapper, Future, will feature fast-rising Nigerian singer, Tems,, which is to be released on Friday, April 29, 2022.


In the 16-track album titled, ‘I Never Liked You’, the Nigerian youngster, Tems and Canadian hitmaker, Drake, featured in one of the singles titled, ‘Wait For You’.


This indeed shows that Tems with the real name, Temilade Openiyi, has so much promise and represents the future of Nigerian music having earned two US top 40 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, due to her collaboration with Drake in the song ‘Fountains’.


Future with the real name Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, had announced in early April 2022, that he would be releasing his ninth album on the 29th.

The rapper took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to share the tracklist for the project.


The album which has 16 songs posseses six collaborations with seven artistes featuring in them.


They include Kanye West (Keep It Burning), Kodak Black (Voodoo), Est Gee (Chickens) Gunna & Young Thug (For A Nut), Tems & Drake (Wait For You) and Drake featuring again in another song, I’m On One.


‘I Never Liked You’ comes two years after ‘High Off Life’, Future’s last album.


Future, who is a Grammy award-winning music star, is considered a pioneer for melodies and vocal effects in the modern trap.

The US Rapper was hailed recently as one of the ‘Best Rappers Alive’ by GQ Magazine.


Apart from his eight albums, Future also has seven collaborative mixtapes to his credit so far.
