FG inaugurates Nigeria Police Trust Fund implementation team

Police Affairs Minister, Muhammad Dingyadi, on Tuesday, inaugurated the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) Project Implementation Committee.

The 7-man body is tasked with supporting the progress made on all NPTF projects and programmes.

The team will provide guidance on interventions approved by the board, review status reports and issues brought before it, and make recommendations.

“The committee is to advise on effective evaluation and impact assessment of the projects and programmes carried out by the Trust Fund”, the minister explained.

Dingyadi said the NPTF Act provides that an implementation committee be constituted to assist the Board of Trustees (BoT) in the execution of duties.

He noted that the Trust Fund already took off with the provision of 200 Buffalo Trucks and 1600 units of Personal Protective Gear (bullet proof vests and helmets).

Others are COVID-19 protective kits and drugs and medical equipment handed over to the police.

“Your appointment to this position is purely on merit and a call to national duty. I enjoin you to bring your wealth of experience and professionalism to bear”, Dangiyadi told members.

They include IGP Usman Baba; Dr. Mike Adebiyi; Esv. Adamu Danladi Kasimu: Alexander Muoneke; Engr. Ibrahim Usman; Abdullahi Abdulkarim Tsafe and Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto-Secretary.
