As he felicitates with Christians, donates packages to his people
In the spirit of Christmas, the Kwara South Senator in the 8th National Assembly, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, has commenced the distribution of cash gifts and festive welfare packages to elderly people, widows, religious leaders and youth across the seven local government areas of Kwara South and beyond.
The gesture, which has become an annual tradition of the Senator during festive seasons is to enable the beneficiaries have a joyful celebration with their family members.
Senator Rafiu has meanwhile felicitated with Christians in Kwara state and across the country as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
He charged the Christian faithful and all Nigerians to rededicate themselves to the service of humanity, love, brotherhood, tolerance, honesty, peace and justice, which represent the true teachings, practices and virtues of Jesus Christ. He urged them to use the occasion to pray for peace, progress and development of the nation.
He also encouraged Nigerians to keep their hope alive, noting that “as Jesus Christ overcame his challenges, they should be resolute to rescue Nigeria. “Through love and unity we can overcome the numerous challenges currently confronting the country, ” he opined.
“On behalf of my family, I wish Kwarans and indeed all Nigerians a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance,” he said.
